The attached Alice M. Hassing Water Park features a seasonal outdoor pool with water features that is a summer favorite for local families.

Kennedy Park on Holland Road is the largest, with two pavilions, horseshoe and bocce ball courts, fire pits and grills, and a modern playground. For more extensive shopping, Great Northern Mall in North Olmsted is a 10-minute drive, and Crocker Park in Westlake is about 15 minutes west. You are also less than 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland for world-class dining, entertainment, and professional sports.

While Brook Park has plenty of neighborhood parks, the real outdoor gem is its proximity to the Cleveland Metroparks system. The Rocky River Reservation is just minutes north and offers miles of paved and natural trails along the Rocky River, fishing spots, picnic areas, and the nature center. The Brookside Reservation, another Metroparks gem, is also nearby with hiking trails and wooded areas. Big Creek Parkway provides another connector trail through the Metroparks system.

Brook Park Home Days (also called Community Days) is the signature annual event, held each year in mid-July. The 2026 event was held July 10-12 and featured a parade through the city, a fireworks display, live music, carnival rides and games, a hot dog eating contest, a pie baking contest, and vendor booths from local businesses and organizations. It is the kind of community celebration that brings everyone together and reminds you why you chose to live in a place like Brook Park.
The Recreation Center keeps the calendar full year-round with programs for every age group. Weekly classes include Zumba on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings, Yoga on Tuesday evenings, and Silver Sneakers for seniors.
